Here is a rough layout of the floor plan. I thought this step would be helpful before looking at elevations for the window layout. I was able to score a bunch of triple pane windows for 75% off in Fairbanks -bring on the view. One of the nice things about timber frames is the ability to have a bunch on windows - and with a view like this - having many is mandatory.

This seems like the best layout - preserving the corner 'fish bowl' and having a really expansive view out. In the end, as seen below, the layout of windows is different layout due to one of my peak windows too large. After getting stuck trying to figure out how to maximize the view,  I had a couple of smaller windows custom made to capture the seven peaks that surround the cabin, most notably Billy Mitchell, directly off the bow.

The first night I stayed inside the cabin - around 9:30 the Northern Lights began to fire, putting on a show of green dancing lights above the cabin the mountains cutting a jagged silhouette across the horizon.. It was indescribable, unimaginable and magical.

As you can see by the below photo, the window layout changed - but there is plenty of glassed views from inside.
